General Terms and Conditions

Welcome to the Creative Talents Fundraising Fund – the launchpad for the next generation of visual storytellers. These Terms and Conditions govern the Fund, its eligibility, application, selection, funding, and ongoing obligations for all participants.

1. Purpose & Vision

The Creative Talents Fundraising Fund (“the Fund”) is a charitable initiative that raises money to support young talented photographers and designers who demonstrate exceptional promise and a commitment to advancing the visual arts. The Fund’s mission is to provide financial assistance, mentorship, and exposure that help recipients build sustainable, impactful careers.

2. Definitions

  • Applicant: An individual who submits an application for funding.
  • Recipient: An Applicant who is selected to receive a Grant.
  • Grant: The monetary award, mentorship package, or other support provided by the Fund.
  • Project: The creative work, exhibition, publication, or business initiative that the Grant is intended to finance.
  • Fund Administrator: The organization or team responsible for managing the Fund, reviewing applications, and disbursing Grants.

3. Eligibility

To be eligible for funding, an Applicant must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Be between 18 and 35 years of age at the time of the application deadline.
  • Be a photographer, visual designer, or graphic artist (including but not limited to illustration, UI/UX, motion graphics, and brand identity).
  • Possess a portfolio of original work that demonstrates technical proficiency and creative vision.
  • Be a legal resident of a country where the Fund operates (the Fund currently accepts applications worldwide).
  • Not have any convictions that would impair the Applicant’s ability to fulfill the obligations of the Grant.

4. Application Process

  1. Registration: Create an account on the Fund’s online portal.
  2. Submission: Complete the application form and upload:
    • A curated portfolio (max. 20 images or 5 design case studies).
    • A project proposal (max. 1,000 words) outlining the intended use of the Grant.
    • A budget breakdown and timeline.
    • Two letters of recommendation from mentors or industry professionals.
  3. Review: All complete submissions are reviewed by the Selection Committee (see Section 5).
  4. Notification: Applicants are informed of the outcome via email within 30 days of the announcement date.

5. Selection Criteria & Scoring

Applications are evaluated on four weighted criteria:

Potential Impact 30 % Contribution to the industry, community, or the Applicant’s career trajectory.

Each reviewer scores each criterion on a 1‑10 scale. The final score is the weighted average. In case of a tie, the Potential Impact score serves as the tie‑breaker.

6. Funding Levels & Disbursement

The Fund offers three grant tiers. All amounts are in USD and are non‑transferable.

Emerging Talent Grant $2,000 Equipment, software, small workshop fees, initial project costs.
Professional Development Grant $5,000 Mentorship, advanced training, travel for exhibitions, branding.
Project Grant Up to $10,000 Full project realisation – production, exhibition, publication, marketing.

Disbursement Schedule:

  • 70 % of the Grant is transferred upon signature of the Grant Agreement.
  • 30 % is released after the Recipient submits a mid‑term progress report (see Section 9).

7. Key Dates

All deadlines are at 23:59 GMT on the stated day.

Final Report & Showcase 31 March 2027 Complete narrative, financial summary, and project showcase.

8. Intellectual Property & Publicity

  • Ownership: All rights to the submitted work remain with the Applicant. The Fund does not claim ownership of any project or portfolio pieces.
  • Licence: By applying, the Applicant grants the Fund a non‑exclusive, royalty‑free licence to use the submitted images/designs for promotional purposes (e.g., website, social media, press releases) with proper attribution.
  • Attribution: The Fund will credit the Recipient in all publicity materials unless the Recipient requests otherwise in writing.

9. Reporting & Accountability

Recipients must comply with the following reporting requirements:

  1. Mid‑term Progress Report (due 1 December 2026):
    • Summary of activities completed.
    • Budget expenditure (itemised).
    • Digital images or mock‑ups of work in progress.
  2. Final Narrative & Financial Report (due 31 March 2027):
    • Full project description and outcomes.
    • Final financial statement with receipts.
    • High‑resolution images of the completed work.
    • Feedback for the Fund (optional).

Failure to submit reports may result in withholding of the final 30 % disbursement and ineligibility for future Fund opportunities.

10. Confidentiality

The Fund respects the privacy of all Applicants. Personal data collected during the application process will be processed in accordance with the Fund’s Privacy Policy and will not be disclosed to third parties without consent, except as required by law.

11. Amendments & Governing Law

The Fund reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on the Fund’s website and will take effect upon publication. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Fund is registered.
